Whilst we would always like to provide our services completely free to all schools and voluntary organisations, it has now become necessary to levy a small charge for access to our unique facility. Some schools and voluntary organisations will still be able to access The STAR Centre free of charge using special funding from other organisations and projects such as The Children’s University.
Non-special project funded daytime school sessions:
*Sessions consist of up to 3 of our members of staff leading a specially tailored interactive learning session.
** We are aware that one of the major costs for schools is transport - this policy will allow schools to bring 2 groups in one day i.e. up to 60 children for £220 which is less than £4.00 per head for a full days activities.
We offer a series of workshops for teachers to assist in space science delivery. These are priced at £300 per day, or £160 per half day.
