The STAR Centre in Keighley is a lively science hub that uses space as a theme to encourage young learners into undertaking science related subjects.
Come and explore our space world, undertake life-like mission control simulations, drive our planetary rover, conduct experiments in our laboratory and explore the world of radio communication.
We welcome school groups and are able to run programmes for key stages 1,2,3 and 4.
We also welcome voluntary groups such as Cubs and Scouts, Brownies and Guides, Air Cadets and more.

First Cullingworth Brownies have used the STAR Centre Mission Control to operate a robotic telescope based on the island of La Palma, one of the Canary islands. The girls used the telescope run by John Moores University Liverpool to take some stunning pictures of the gas giant Saturn and its magnificent rings and of a distant elliptical galaxy. The telescope is one of the largest robotic telescopes in the world measuring 2 metres in diameter was operated by the Brownies from the STAR Centre mission control as part of their work towards gaining their Star Gazer badge.
