STAR Centre gets new teaching resource

This month we were pleased to receive delivery of a new teaching resource. A real-life replica of an ESRO 4 satellite was transported from Holland courtesy of ESA (The European Space Agency). The satellite is an Earth observation satellite designed to investigate neutral particle and ion concentrations in the ionosphere and to monitor solar particles in order to discover the mechanism by which they penetrate and diffuse in the magnetosphere. The new resource in on display at the STAR Centre.
